Eyelash Extension FACTS

Lash extensions are applied in a safe and healthy way this is to ensure no damage while wearing them. Your natural lashes will tell what length and thickness you can wear. If you are looking for a specific look please schedule a consultation to see if this is achievable from your natural lash!

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Be sure to set aside at least 2-3 hours for your appointment. To ensure the very best results, please follow these important guidelines.

*Please be on time, a brief consultation before your service is recommended.

*Please do not wear any make-up to your appointment. Especially mascara.

* Please remove contact lenses before your appointment~ Your normal eyeglasses are fine.

AFTER CARE GUIDELINES:

Be very gentle with your eyelashes. After leaving the service it is entirely up to you on how well you take care of your new lashes. Following proper care and understanding your natural lash cycle will make them last longer.

Do not get your lashes wet for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to completely dry.

Avoid hot steam from the shower and sauna especially the first couple of days

Do not rub your eyes excessively.

Do not use an eyelash curler!

Do not use any oil-based makeup remover.

You must keep your lashes, eye lids CLEAN and clear of any build up!!!! I can't stress this enough. If you do not follow these guidelines extensions are NOT for YOU! Irritation and/or infection can happen with out proper after care!

Mascara is not necessary, but if you want more of a dramatic look only apply to the tips of your lashes and spot treat as neccessary and to help with tweaking. I also explain in more detail during the service.

Do not  use waterproof mascara!

Do not go to the sauna, steam room, or hot springs frequently. The heat may cause the bonds to weaken.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE UNDERSTAND YOUR NATURAL LASH GROWTH CYCLE

Following the after care guidelines and knowing your lash growth cycle is very important with eyelash extensions. Fills must be done within 3 weeks. Those who have a faster lash cycle must be filled sooner usually 2-2.5 weeks.

*PLEASE INFORM ME IF YOU HAVE NATURAL LIGHT COLORED LASHES*

Having lighter colored lashes can take more time and is even more tedious and meticulous work. I would recommend you to get a lash tint before receiving lash extensions. Or prepare yourself for longer then 2 hours (depending on clients) *Price subject to change

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash extensions are an exciting way to extend the length and thickness of your natural lash. They are applied on a hair-by-hair basis to your own eyelashes for a completely natural or dramatic look.

HOW LONG WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

Touch-ups are recommended every 3 weeks after the initial full set application to replace any eyelashes that may have fallen out. Some clients must come in before 3 weeks since having a faster natural growth cycle. How long your eyelash extensions will last really depends on a couple things

*How well you follow the aftercare guidelines

*Your own natural eyelash growth cycle

ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?

Yes, absolutely! Eyelash extensions are completely safe and painless. There is no waxing or plucking required. I use only high quality glue and lashes.

WILL THE EYELASH EXTENSION HURT?

No, not at all! Neither the eyelash extension nor the adhesive ever touch your skin.

ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS THE RIGHT THING FOR ME?

Almost anyone can enjoy eyelash extensions, but if one or more of the following conditions applies to you, you may not be a good candidate for this service.

YOU DON'T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WELL AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO MAINTAIN AFTERCARE GUIDELINES ~ If you don't listen to your lash expert and understand the service before and after, this is probably not a service for you.

YOU RUB YOUR EYES FREQUENTLY. If you rub your eyes frequently due to allergies such as hay fever, or if rubbing your eyes is just a habit, you may not be able to wear extensions.

YOU HAVE HIGHLY SENSITIVE SKIN. If you experience irritation around the eye area after using skincare or makeup, extensions may not work for you.

YOU ARE SICK OR HAVE ALLERGIES. If you have a cold, sinus or allergy infection, please do not get extensions (wait till you are 100% better) They will not last a normal amount of time due to irritation and secretions in the eye area.

YOUR NATURAL EYELASHES ARE VERY CURLY. If your natural lashes are very curly you are definitely not a good candidate for extensions! Curly lashes tend to shorten the eyelash extension wear time. Generally with curly lashes, extensions may only last up to 3 days before they start to lift.

YOU HAVE NO NATURAL EYELASHES. A person who does not have any natural lashes cannot wear extensions because there is no where to place them. Extensions must be placed on the natural eyelash and not directly on the skin. Consider using a different form of eyelash treatments.

THE RULE OF THUMB TO ENJOY AND PROPERLY MAINTAIN EYELASH EXTENSIONS IS "THE LESS YOU TOUCH THEM, THE LONGER THEY WILL LAST!" Be careful with applying eye makeup and to keep it as clean as possible.

HOW LONG WILL THE EYELASH EXTENSION SERVICE TAKE?

Usually this service takes at least 2 hours to complete because the extensions are applied one lash at a time. Be sure to set aside at least 2 hours for your appointment. There will be no rush for your gorgeous results!

CAN I WEAR MASCARA WITH MY EXTENSIONS?

One of the benefits of extensions is that your lashes will look so long, beautiful, and dark you won't need to use mascara anymore! However, if you still want to wear mascara, you can, but constant wear can affect the lifespan of your extensions and can be shortened. Try to only apply to the tips of the lashes and spot treat areas you would like to either tweak or make more dramatic. DO NOT USE WATERPROOF, it can dissolve the bonds of the extension.

HOW DO I FIND OUT IF THE SERVICE IS DONE BY A HIGHLY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL WHO IS LICENSED?

Please research where you go! Ask questions, listen to your gut!!! If your lash artist does not have any legitimate before and after pictures... be worried! You want to see their work!!! Ask them how much experience they have and where they went to get trained. The best way to know is researching and asking questions. You don't want anything to go wrong with a service like this.

WHY ARE EYELASHES SO EXPENSIVE?

The time spent on individually placing an extension on a natural lash is time consuming and tedious. You are paying for high quality product, high quality work, knowledge and the time spent making your lashes beautiful.
